Vinitaly is back with a Special Edition focused on business

Vinitaly returns. Mark these dates for a long-awaited dive into the Italian wine world. Three days of business to boost the recovery of the wine sector in the main target markets and to analyse the future of Italian wine in the light of new consumption trends. Vinitaly Special Edition – the third in-person event organised this year by the leading international trade fair brand – is scheduled at Veronafiere 17-19 October with an entire focus on business. 200 buyers from 35 countries are expected to attend the event in Verona, alongside Italian professionals in tourism and large-scale retail, wine stores and the Horeca sectors.  The show area will host more than 400 companies representing Italian production in its entirety.

“Vinitaly Special Edition seeks not only to provide impetus for the restart after the forced pit stop but also a turning point. This is a first decisive step towards a new-look 54thVinitaly – which is already fully booked as of today and set to welcome the entire sector back to Verona 10-13 April 2022″ said Giovanni Mantovani, CEO of Veronafiere.

Vinitaly Special Edition calendar includes more than 10 events, including conferences and focus meetings detailing domestic and international markets. There will be almost 40 tastings for operators and buyers ranging from Organic to Orange wines – not to mention to mixology, the theme area making its debut this year which focuses attention on an increasingly dynamic market where Horeca is a preferential consumption channel. Thanks to the profiled incoming campaign implemented by Veronafiere, in collaboration with ICE Trade Agency, buyers will come from themost strategic outlets for Italian wine: from consolidated markets such as the United States, China, the United Kingdom and Canada, to Balkan countries, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan and Northern European countries; while Germany, France and Switzerland are at the head of the main European delegations.

There is also an exceptional calendar for Enolitech, the event scheduled in conjunction with Vinitaly dedicated to technologies for wine, oil and beer production, not to mention Sol&Agrifood attended by quality agro-food exhibitors.

Training and networking, on the other hand, are the core aspects on the programne of the Wine2Wine business forum (Veronafiere, 18 & 19 October): one hundred international speakers, 17 theme areas, more than 1500 operators and managers and 70 speed meetings (30 minutes) discussing the top current issues for companies and the wine community.
