The fall season will uncork once again when several of Verona’s finest wineries join together for the annual “Hostaria” Wine Festival on October 9, 10 and 11 in the main city centre. More than 30 wineries will welcome visitors inside the wooden houses set up in the historical squares of Verona.
In the beginning Verona was known to be the city of love. Then came the international trade show Vinitaly and many understood the winemaking vocation of the area. In the last six years, “Hostaria” wine festival has been transforming streets, bridges and squares of the Shakespearean city into a place where fine labels and typical flavours meet along itineraries that cross the historic center of the city.
Organized by Hostaria cultural association in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona and held in the iconic squares of Verona, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza Bra and Cortile Mercato Vecchio, “Hostaria” aims to raise awareness of the region’s excellence in an outdoor experience between wine tastings and local food dishes.
Take part of Hostaria “socially distanced” wine festival knowing these important protocols have been put in place to insure everyone has a safe, fun, relaxing time:
- Masks must be worn at all times except during the tastings
- Access to winery tasting stations via socially tasting stations or distanced queue lines
- Tickets available for purchase online
- Festival layout and path through the city reconfigured for social distancing
- Festival following consistent sanitizing protocols
With “social distancing” in mind, this year’s Wine Festival will be a much more intimate event. Because of that, tickets to Hostaria are limited so get one before they are gone!
