The fifth edition of Vinifera, the exhibition dedicated to the wines and foods of the territories of the Alpine arc is ready to start on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Trento Fiere.
Vinifera is the event that brings together more than 100 winemakers from Italy and abroad, with an expanded presence of producers from France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia and numerous food artisans. This edition will also highlight even more the deep connection between agriculture and the Alpine region through a rich calendar of master classes and in-depth discussions. In addition, in the month preceding the event, the Vinifera Forum will take place as usual with events, tastings, conferences and guided tours throughout the Trentino region, from the Adige Valley to the Val di Non.
The goal of the next edition is to put even more emphasis on the agricultural aspect of viticulture. In fact, the exhibition, in which small and medium-sized organic and biodynamic artisanal businesses will participate, will be dedicated to the link between agriculture and the Alpine territory. “With this choice we intend to highlight the activity of the winemakers who will be present at Vinifera,” explains Luisa Tomasini, spokesperson for the Centrifuga Association, which is organizing the event. “Within their own company in many cases they are involved in the production of wine, but also of fruit, vegetables, honey, seeds, cheese and, more generally, of preserving and enhancing the place where they live and its peculiarities, making unique products of the highest quality.
Geographically, the 2023 edition will also turn its gaze to producers beyond the Alps, with an expanded presence of winemakers from France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia, and with a guest territory to be unveiled at the beginning of the year. The growing internationalization of the event has led to the creation of the website www.viniferaforum.it also in English, and all communication will be conveyed in dual languages.
To enrich the program of the Mostra Mercato of Vinifera are the master classes, which will be held in the halls of the Muse – Museum of Science in Trento.
The charity aspect of Vinifera is renewed in support of a social project in the area. During the Vinifera Forum events and the Mostra Mercato, from February 24 to March 26, there will be spaces and moments dedicated to fundraising in favor of the Centro Antiviolenza – Associazione Coordinamento Donne Onlus of Trento. Other activities such as the sale of special bottles and artistic creations will also be organized. In addition, the entire proceeds from Vinifera merchandise, which will be sold during the two-day Mostra Mercato (T-shirts, bags, pockets and guides), will be donated to the non-profit organization.
