Verona is once again the global capital of wine. From April 6 to 9, Veronafiere hosts the 57th edition of Vinitaly, the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition,  with approximately 4000 wine companies exhibiting and a fully booked exhibition area, confirming its status as the centre of gravity and pulse of Italian wine. Professionals from Italy and 140 countries are expected to crowd the event’s 18 show halls.

In the last few years the trade show in Verona has followed its aim to provide a key marketplace in an era when the international tariffs crisis is igniting an industry reshuffle. “Intensifying the international calendar in the main areas of demand for wine and optimisation of investments to amplify the Italian wine trade fair brand ecosystem are the guidelines ensuring that Vinitaly will become increasingly international and focused on the needs of companies” explained CEO Maurizio Danese.

Vinitaly 2025 maps the world of wine featuring a packed agenda of over 80 events. The program draws a tasting map that spans the entire Italian peninsula and extends across the world, reflecting the global reach of today’s wine culture.

Among the highlights are the prestigious Grand Tastings at the Palaexpo and the Tasting Ex… Press sessions, curated by some of the most influential international wine publications—including DecanterVinumRevija VinoGilbert & GaillardMeiningerThe Drink Business, and IWSC.

Also returning is Vinitaly Tasting – The Doctor Wine Selection in Hall 10, led by Daniele Cernilli, editor of the Essential Guide to Italian Wines. This space offers a curated showcase of Italian wine excellence, aimed at professionals and the HORECA sector.

Focus remains strong on emerging voices in the industry. The Young to Young series (April 6–8, Hall 10), conceived by journalists Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti, facilitates dialogue between young producers and up-and-coming communicators. Meanwhile, MicroMega Wines in Hall C highlights niche, high-quality Italian labels through a series of masterclasses.

Sustainability also has a dedicated space, with tastings of certified organic wines organized in collaboration with FederBio. Throughout the four-day event, consortia, exhibitors, and associations will lead thematic workshops and tastings, adding depth to a program designed to engage every corner of the wine world.

Adding to the celebration, Vinitaly and the City returns from tomorrow through Sunday, April 6. This is the more “pop” side of the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition—a vibrant off-show event that each year transforms Verona into a haven for wine lovers from across Italy. Unfolding in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage city, the event spans a charming triangle of iconic locations: Piazza dei Signori (including the Loggia di Fra Giocondo and the Loggia Antica), Cortile Mercato Vecchio, and Cortile del Tribunale. These historic sites become immersive tasting stages where culture meets conviviality.

Vinitaly 2025 offers not just a taste of wine—but a taste of the world.
