Vinitaly is coming back with a “sold out” with more than 4000 exhibiting companies for its 54th edition next 10-13 April, scheduled alongside Enolitech, the international exhibition of technologies for the production of wine, olive oil and beer, and Sol&Agrifood, the exhibition dedicated to quality agro-foods.

The campaign of VeronaFiere is already underway and involves 60 countries in the promotion, communication and incoming programme implemented by Veronafiere S.p.A and ICE-Trade Agency sharing not only a total investment of 3 million euros but also the selection of a business list of 500 top buyers from all over the world, joining thousands of trade operators. from Italy and abroad.
“We are seeing a high rate of trust and expectation from international operators and exhibitors alike. This edition will focus on relaunching the sector and resuming commercial relations through personal attendance. Moreover, a program for the safe management of daily entrances has been finalised. Continuous sanitization of the show halls and equipment, 400 surveillance and crowd monitoring cameras connected to an operations centre and a medical facility equipped with all necessary services for real-time diagnostic tests will ensure safe physical attendance at the exhibition. Current regulations require that access to trade fairs is only allowed on presentation of a super green pass or, for international exhibitors and visitors with vaccination status other than that recognized by Italy, with a green pass obtained after a swab test.
Vinitaly OperaWine is scheduled for April 9 in the Gallerie Mercatali (opposite the exhibition centre) with the 130 top Italian producers selected by Wine Spectator. Having a look at the regional ranking, Toscana leads the OperaWine 2022 wine team with 36 producers, followed by Piemonte (20) and Veneto (19). Reds are the big thing, with 97 labels to be tasted on April 9 in Verona. Among these, the appellations of Barolo (15), Brunello (13), Amarone and Chianti Classico stand out, both featuring 9 producers. The super tasting of the best Italian wines is completed by 22 white wines, 9 sparkling wines and 2 sweet / passito wines. From North to South, there are nine new wineries for OperaWine 2022, while 21 ‘all timer’ have been present since the first edition of 2012.
