New dates have been announced for Vinitaly 2021. The 54th edition of the Veronafiere International Wine and Spirits Exhibition will take place on 20-23 June 2021 along with Enolitech and Sol&Agrifood.
OperaWine 10th Year Anniversary with Wine Spectator will be held on 19 June 2021. OperaWine offers international wine professionals the opportunity to taste and get to know the best Italian wines presented by Italy’s 100 greatest producers according to Wine Spectator.
The decision to postpone everything to summer 2021 was taken after careful assessment that also involved government institutions in a position to formulate reliable forecasts for the Covid-19 pandemic curve and a specific market survey.
“Vinitaly with OperaWine and its sister shows,” as Giovanni Mantovani, CEO of Veronafiere S.p.A., pointed out, “will now be scheduled in a context where the government will have had plenty of time to prepare procedures for international buyers entering Italy. Other events aimed at promoting the wine sector will also take place in Europe in the same period. Consequently, this is a strategic and synergic decision that will allow operators in market and information areas, especially from Asia and the USA – among the main visitors to our exhibitions – to be able to optimize their attendance schedules within a single trip.”
Veronafiere will concentrate efforts to support business by Italian companies on the markets in the first half of 2021.
